The feed dogs need to be out of position when doing that sewing technique.
This happens if you were doing some free motion quilting. The second source for this problem is that the feed dogs are in the wrong position. Just change the setting and your machine should work again.
It is possible that the previous user set the stitch length to 0 and forgot to change it back. The first would be that the stitch length is set wrong so the machine will not work properly. There are 3 possible origins of this problem. Make sure you threaded the machine correctly. Then if the thread tension is too tight, you will have to loosen the top tension and then double-check the tension on the bobbin thread and the top thread. If the tension is not balanced you need to make sure the bobbin thread is wound right and then you go to the needle tension and adjust it to balance it out. It may be wound too tightly or loosely, you will get inconsistent tension. Just clean your machine thoroughly and make sure you get the area where the tension spring is located.Īnother source for this problem would be the bobbin. One source for this problem is that you did not clean your machine recently and dirt, loose threads, and fibers got in the way of the tension spring. On some machines that position is to the left and on others that position is on the right. Check to see if your bobbin winder is in the sewing position. Some Husqvarna machines operate with parts in opposite positions. Tighten up any loose wires or see if any part in the foot connector burned or shorted out.
If you are plugged in, and the power button is on, check your foot control to see if there is a loose wire or other connection problems. Sometimes on the newer models, all you have to do is shut it down and let it reset itself for a couple of hours and the machine will start up again. Make sure the machine is plugged in and the power button is turned on. The first place to check is always your power supply. Sometimes you do not have to if your repair is minor.
Then if you have your owner’s manual look inside it to find the location of other screws if you need to take more parts off. Once that is done you can remove the front panel. Now before you remove the front panel, you need to remove the stitch selector first. Next is the base plate and there is one lone screw that needs to come out. Remove both screws and lift the panel off. Then go to the front panel and there is a screw at the rear and one hiding under the reverse lever. To remove the cover of the 150 E you need to remove the screw on the back panel first. Removing the covers on different Husqvarna sewing machines may not be done in the same fashion.
